Matt Kuchar -130 over Jeff Overton (72 Holes)
Quigley -125 over Bohn (72 Holes)
Bad luck, bad timing. You name it, Jeff Overton is afflicted with it.
Overton, who was featured in this segment earlier in the Fall Finish, was cruising in his pursuit of a 2009 PGA Tour card. He began the Fall Finish No. 142 on the money list, then jumped to 120 with a T-10 at Turning Stone and a fifth-place finish at the Valero Texas Open.
However, Overton underwent an emergency appendectomy Oct. 21. Overton played nine holes of a practice round for the Frys.com Open, consulted medical personnel about discomfort and was advised to see a doctor. He had surgery the same night.
Overton withdrew from the Frys.com, and it looked as if his season would be over. Remarkably, Overton was en route to the Ginn sur Mer Classic as of Tuesday and plans to tee it up this week. According to a spokesman for the agency that represents Overton, the three-year Tour pro underwent an appendectomy that wasn't "old school" and was less invasive.
At worst, if Overton misses both season-ending cuts, he'll finish in the top 150 and be exempt into the finals of Tour Q-School.
Here is why I am fading Bohn
Alex Cejka. Returning injury report #2 … Cejka had surgery two months ago during which an artificial vertebra was implanted in his neck. He was expected to be out for 4-6 weeks, which he was, but he didn't think he would play again until the World Cup in China at the end of November. Therefore, he's rusty and will ease into action. But that he's bouncing back this week is like asking a long-distance runner to compete in a marathon in his first event following hip surgery.
