Gonna try to recap the week. Obviously capped the European tour to perfection. I also liked Stenson over Els, for reasons that should be fairly simple ( basically Ernie can't putt, but I couldn't put in a bet against my favorite golfer).
Anyway, my biggest bet of the year won. So that's a good thing right?
I was shocked it ended as close as it did, but that's golf. The fade on Huston not only cost me 140 in the 90 hole matchup( the amount I wagered and would have won, but it also cost me the money i wagered and would have won on the parlay, so all in all it would have been a $400 swing). Obviously Huston was not injured as the media reported, or if he was injured, he has a Dr. who can work miracles, i think he just wd'd from the sony and used the wrist as a bullshit excuse. Joe Ogilve made a nice run in round 3 and 4, then played great in 5, to get it within 1, but he made a triple, and that was that.
The Jesper play I will admit was lucky to cash, that being said it was more of a fade on Calc, who missed the cut badly, so I feel that I capped it pretty well.
The Richard S Johnson bet was like stealing, I have no idea why I didn't hit it harder, but its easy to say that after the fact.
The Bart Bryant was an awful bet, and the WD just helped ease the pain of a crappy bet by me.
I have no real comment on the Sr. Tour play, just that I will probably not bet on that league again for a while.
I liked all of my plays a lot this week, so I am a little disapointed that we didnt smash this week. 6 - 3 this week, is respectable, but in all honesty, I was very confident going into this week (unlike last week).
I have some good fades for next week, and I will make sure when I put in an injury fade ( like I did on Campbell) the information will be accurate. The Chat is up and running.. and thanks to the people who have stopped by to discuss golf or any other sport.
